time to shred

shredding time
I joined the Ipernity Club. I found that almost too easy to use, and lightweight at least on PC.

And on this picture you see how many bags of shred paper one gets when getting rid of old bills and documents stored for years. My dear wife did almost a full day job going through all that stuff.

    • I do recommend buying a good shredder. Becomes cheaper in the long run, because cheap ones are damn slow or breaks easily.

  1. Did this when I moved to Fargo three years ago. But then I left several boxes of stuff for my son to shred for me. Haha….he mailed them to me in Fargo. It is all gone now. My mom and dad used to save ten years worth of taxe returns,, receipts, etc. IRS says you only need to save 3 yrs of info. I took after my parents, of course, but not anymore.

    • Yep, old receipt etc. can be a problem ๐Ÿ˜€ I could have taken them also to my work place and pin them into special locked recycling can. Only now came into my mind… After next few years I suggest that to my wife if I still have place to work…

  2. I need to do this, too! I see that there is a business not too far where I live that will do the shredding for you, but I’m unclear how this is supposed to work. Obviously the reason for shredding paperwork is to keep the information that’s on it secure.

    • Now our problem is to get those bags carried to the recycling bin ๐Ÿ˜† I have been a lazy husband lately. maybe we should have externalized this in the first place ๐Ÿ˜€

  3. There is something satisfying about shredding a lot of unwanted paper. Just have to make sure that it’s not suddenly wanted after it’s been turned into confetti…
