It is not often that architecture causes catharsis. But for me this building is like a jewelry in Tampere surroundings. It is not just the building itself but also the location. First you walk through area of beautiful small wooden houses, and then suddenly you come to open area where stands this magnificent and still so simple church. But it is not just a church. There is also youth clubroom and chaplaincy within same building, which makes it look like a monastery. Although this church is quite typical 1920s classicism, it also has features of functionalism. Today I went just to photograph the building. Earlier I have just taken some shots of it's bell tower from far away. My next mission is to go and see how it looks inside.
