Paper

Simplicity theme continues… Plagge and Blackcalla came up with very similar ideas, which kind of proves there must be some sort of meme thing going on.

Paper can be made out of many different raw materials like rags, hemp, cotton, bamboo and different kinds of wood. Best quality paper that lasts long is still made out of cotton rags but normally wood is used. Recycling help us not to waste the natural resources too fast but we still need to do more to save the forests.

Paper can be used for many purposes different than cloth would do. Paper keeps the form when folded and one can write and draw on it much easier than on cloth. Special papers are also good even for packaging food or can be used as a wallpaper.

Special uses of paper that interest me very much are origamis and paper planes. The paper plane models that flies best usually have rather heavy nose, thus making them fly like darts.

I suppose its just plain paper and that you didn't craft it?

 I don't quite understand the question. Follow the link I gave to see how to craft this model. It really is one of the best models that flies very nicely

  2. Very nice selection of paper Debbz :up:Folks, I forgot to say anything about usability of paper. The point is that paper has many similar uses as cloth does but also many more ways to use it rather intuitively. Writing is not very intuitive task to learn and master but drawing is, at least for human kind. Moreover, we may use paper to make a fire, wipe something clean, or wrap around things like fish and chips.

  3. I confess, I have fantasies of building a "mansion" out of corrogated cardboard. Covered with urethane varnish or even epoxy. The city or whatever other beaurocratic agency, regardless of which one, always has some sort of "spring"(or often sooner) clean up though. It all keeps me moving more than enough. Buck, buck or Johnny rides the pony?

You need to move some place else where that kind of housing is tolerated :left:

  5. That is a great flying design Sami, I have folded many a paper plane and you are absolutely right. Also a great picture of simplicity, the vignetting adds a lot!

  6. Thanks Tim ๐Ÿ™‚ I kind of fell in love with the basic settings on Vignette application I use on my phone. I think it became as "normal" way to see things ๐Ÿ˜€

  9. :eyes: Your blogs a winner! Almost. Did you know already? :irked: Daughter downloads 10-billionth app, mom hangs up on AppleBy Doug Gross, CNNUPDATED: 12:26 PM EST 01.24.11(CNN) – Apple's countdown to 10 billion downloads in its App Store hit its long-awaited milestone this weekend. The lucky customer, who gets $10,000 worth of virtual cash for the download, responded to the news by hanging up the phone on Apple when the company called to congratulate her."I thought it was a prank call," Gail Davis of Orpington, Kent, UK, told Apple fan site Cult of Mac. "I said, 'Thank you very much, I'm not interested' and I hung up."Turns out, one of Davis's daughters had downloaded the winning app — "Paper Glider," a game that simulates building paper airplanes and flinging them around an office.

  10. Wow! :hat: Those wouldn't work in on Android either, huh?My CD-ROM doesn't play DVDs either? :awww:Why can't we all just get along?Isn't there some happy medium between it all? The thought kinda makes me all warm and fuzzy. Is that a roulette wheel or a tilt a whorl I'm seeing? Life in the limbic system needs limb regeneration. What pebble?
